If you are visiting Lotte World but don't feel like playing anymore rides because of the long queues, you can watch the daily parade at Lotte World. There are two timings for the daily parade at Lotte World. One starts at 2.30PM and another one starts at 7PM. We did not want to spend too much time at Lotte World because we had other plan for the evening part of that day so we decided to catch the 2.30PM. Opposite us, there are a group of school children which visited Lotte World for school trip. How cute.

10 minutes before the daily parades start, the parade marshall will come to ensure that the crowd is seated properly so that everyone can watch the parade without being blocked by other people. Other than that, the friendly parade marshall also teach the visitors (especially children) to sing and and dance together when the parade starts.

At 2.30 PM sharp, the parade starts with Lotty and Lorry leading a car with sparkling castle on it.

Later on, the parade turns into adventurous theme from Sinbad where the evil sorcerer captured the princess and put her inside a bottle of a genie.

The princess did not suffer for too long though because soon after, Sinbad appears to fight and beat the evil sorcerer to save the princess. The boat ride which tells the full story of Sinbad's heroic adventure is quite fun to ride. Go take the ride if you have the time. The queue for the ride is not as bad as the thrilling rides which located at Magic Island, the outdoor park of Lotte World.

Lastly, a ice carriage from the land of Frozen (okay, maybe not, because Frozen is copyrighted by Disney) comes with a little girl on the throne. We were actually wondering how does the theme park select which girl to participate in the parade because it seems that the girl is one of the theme park's visitors. Do they have to go through certain selection or something? Hmm, not sure. On second thought, I don't even have a girl. XD

The parade lasts for around 30 to 40 minutes. It is quite fun to watch and when there are seasonal festivities, the parade's theme will follow accordingly. You should catch its Christmas parade if you are visiting Lotte World in December.

When the weather outside is too hot or too cold, it is always good to play in the indoor park of Lotte World. There are attractions across the four levels of Lotte World. Noona is sure that there are rides suitable for every ages in Lotte World. So Lotte World is one of good places to bring your kids to.

What to do in the indoor park of Lotte World?

One of the rides which is fun to enjoy as a family is the Pharaoh's Fury. A family of 4 can fit into one car and you will start your great adventure together to Egypt. This is a simulation drive arcade which is fun to enjoy with both family and friends.

If you prefer for those attractions which are not going to make your heart beat faster, you can go for a balloon ride at Lotty's Hot Air Balloon Flight. Noona and friend shared a balloon together with a group of 3 teenagers, two boys and one girl. Looks like a setting for a Korean drama, eh? They were busy taking wefie in the air though. Hahaha.

From the balloon ride, you will be able to see a the indoor park of Lotte World from the top. There is an indoor roller coaster called Giant Loop. If you watched Running Man before, Giant Loop was featured in one of the early episodes. The episode was so funny because in that particular episode, the participants must ride this roller coaster while singing. Hahaha oh my gawd, Noona can probably only scream her lungs out during the whole ordeal.

There is an ice skating rink inside Lotte World. The admission costs 11,000 Korean won for adults. If you need to rent the skate, there is an additional 5,000 Korean won to pay for the skate rental. A combo ticket (admission + skate rental) costs you 16,000 Korean won.

On the other side of indoor park of Lotte World, there are a lot of castle-like building which houses kind of rides from bumper cars to fairy tale theater to shooting games. Kids will love these attractions to the max. While for us, adults, we probably will enjoy the rides outside these building more.

Operating hours of Lotte World:

Both the indoor and outdoor park of Lotte World opens and closes at the same time. They start at 9.30AM and close at 10.00PM.

Noona was so excited when she met up with the main characters of Lotte World here. Since it was still early in the morning and the hot summer weather of Seoul is still bearable, Noona and her friend decided to check out the outdoor section of Lotte World. We were wondering what to do at the outdoor Lotte World which is called the Magic Island. As spotted in theme parks all around the world, when you cross the bridge to make your way to the Magic Island, you will see a castle. The thing is, nobody knows who is the owner of the castle in Lotte World. Abandoned one? =P

Behind the castle, you will find all the fun rides which are available at the outdoor Lotte World. Let's check them out!

1. Atlantis

If you are into lightning speed kind of ride, you should immediately make a queue for Atlantis. The idea is you will be sitting on a jetski-look-alike and then ride the roller-coaster. There will be a strap to ensure your safety along the ride. This ride is quite fun but it lasts for a short while only.

2. Gyro Swing

The next ride took us 120 minutes to queue...O_O! The Gyro Swing is one of the Gyro series ride in Lotte World. Well, to make it short, all rides in Lotte World which start with the word "Gyro" are not meant for the faint-hearted. For a start, this Gyro Swing will swing while spinning you around. There is a big lake right below the swing.

If you are not satisfied, its sister (or brother?), Gyro Spin focuses more on the spinning (i.e. spin you at higher speed). This kinda looks like twister though. The crowds are pretty excited for these Gyro(s) rides. You can see a snaking queue easily forming for all these rides.

The last but not least, the Gyro Drop will do...well...you get the idea from its name, right? Gyro Drop will spin while bringing you up and then suddenly drop you from that height. If you are scared of height, you may want to skip this ride (or the whole Gyro-s entirely). LOL.

Noona's heart skips a beat (not for the romantic reason, obviously) after riding all these rides. You can spend more than half a day at the outdoor Lotte World for riding these rides because of the long queue. Make sure to bring cool drinks, snacks, umbrella, hat, and fans when queuing under the hot weather.
