4D3N Bali Trip: Angelita Tea Salon & Patisserie, Seminyak
BREAKING NEWS: The anti-social Noona just went for her first (and probably last) date with a real man in 2017. It has been while and Noona has to admit she was a bit rustic and nervous at the same time and hence, kept on blabbing both really serious topic and nonsense. Hopefully the man does not mind. Hahaha.
Okay, that's all. Let's see where this goes.
Back to reality: Noona's bae has been raving on and on about Angelita, a cake shop in Seminyak. To be honest, Noona did not include this in her initial foodie itinerary in Bali because well... cakes are just cakes, no? But bae insisted that the cakes here are so good so that Noona decided to visit Angelita during her visit.
First impression, Angelita is really the place for ladies to chill because of the whole tea salon atmosphere and the tiffany blue-painted walls. The waiter wears a t-shirt with creative slogan too. Hahaha.
Small details which add the girly touch to the tea salon.
We ordered some teas and cakes to enjoy our lazy afternoon before deciding where to have dinner. Yes, life in Bali is filled with good food and chilling out attitude. The lychee iced tea taste so refreshing after walking out in the Balinese heat.
My dongsaeng ordered Coffee eclairs (which makes Noona surprised because dongsaeng is not really a dessert eater). My aunt which apparently does not have any caffeine-induced insomnia issue gleefully ordered a cup of cappuccino to drink at 4PM. Crazy bunch. Noona will surely be awake until wee hours if she drinks coffee at that weird timing.
Coffee eclair is not bad but can be a bit too sweet after a few bites.
The other two cakes look similar in shape, one is filled with peach mousse while the other is chocolate ganache.
The chocolate ganache looks so dark and Noona basically has to do some lighting to make the cake's color pop out. Taste wise, Noona quite enjoys the chocolate cake. Yummy.
The peach mousse filled cake fares worse than its chocolate counterpart though. Noona did not really like this cake unfortunately.
The atmosphere at Angelita Tea Salon is nice for people to chill out for a long time. The cakes have some hits and misses but you'll be safe if you choose the chocolate-based ones. =)
