K-in-Singapore: L'atelier Tiramisu, Clarke Quay

It was such a hard time in the office with an abundant heap of works being thrown on you. To make matters worse, your senior colleagues and boss show a great "I-don't-care" attitude to you. Well, not that it surprises Noona after she has joined this kind of cold-blooded environment since day 1 of her working life. She should just give another "I-don't-care-too" while searching for a better life out there. #pray

In time of hardship, it's best to follow the advice to keep calm and eat dessert. Because "desserts" is basically "stressed" spelled backwards. Hahaha. With this kind of theory, Noona is surely gonna gained weight if she got pissed everyday at work. She was actually wandering around Clarke Quay to source for a lovely location to celebrate her bae's hen's night. Since Noona and another friend are going to throw a staycation to bae in Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel in Clarke Quay, we decided to check out the surrounding area. And that's when we passed by L'atelier Tiramisu, a specialty cafe which serves Noona's favourite dessert, tiramisu.

L'atelier Tiramisu sells a variety of tiramisu from the original tiramisu, dark cherry tiramisu and even matcha tiramisu. Since it has been ages since the last time Noona eat tiramisu, she went for the original one. L'atelier Tiramisu scores pretty good tiramisu and Noona enjoyed it so much (up to the point she choked on the tiramisu powder...LOL).

If you are choked on the tiramisu powder, you can help yourself to a glass of water provided in the cafe. I wonder if so many people get choked on the powder as well. Hahaha.

Other than tiramisu, L'atelier Tiramisu also sells coffee like latte and babycino.

A very pissing day

Noona was definitely very very very very very angry. She spent a lot of times trying to help an annoying human being from a certain department within the office and she's being very "helpful" by not making this easy at all. And she even asked Noona to consult someone more senior in Noona's team. Who do you think has all the time in the world to entertain you, piece of shit?

Freaking pissed.

And just like that, Noona decided to switch off the laptop and proceeded to go home since it's already way beyond closing hour. And there's a new episode of Scarlet Heart Ryeo to watch.

The most annoying thing about being annoyed at work is you can't help but thinking about it right before you're going to bed. How about the unresolved things? Noona thinks she needs to rely on God more to deal with these annoying pests. Well, God loves all human right? Hehe.

Since Pastor has just preached about the wall of Jericho, maybe Noona will just ignore this pest for another 7 days. LOL. Seriously, who ask her to be so annoying in the first place? Ask someone more senior? Pfft. Please, the more senior person will only end up asking Noona further questions instead of helping her resolve the situation. Eff!

Stop Trying to Understand

There are bound to be some people that we meet in life that we just don't understand. In Noona's life, she totally does not understand why some people love to work overtime. Even though we know that bosses' expectation lead to occasional "no choice but to work late" scenario, actually deep down, the decision is taken by the individual itself. Okay, maybe they need to work late to maintain good impression of themselves and hence, their career.

But what makes Noona even more confused is why let's say exhibit A who is a pretty woman, young, live comfortably (parents are quite well off, Noona believes she has her own comfortable bedroom, etc), have a quite handsome boyfriend, at pretty high rank for her age, have enough (and even a lot of) money and yet STILL WORK LIKE CRAZY (by crazy here is spending more than 12 hours in average of her career life). Noona just can't understand it.

But after a few moment of consideration...

She decided not to use this kind of exhibit as a benchmark and live her own life in her own comfortable way.

A quote about life to ponder in the next 15 minutes...

This week is filled with some sad news for people that Noona knows or at least, close to people that she knows. An old acquitance took a fall and now in coma while a cousin of a friend got killed by a house-burglar in US. Crazy stuff. The scary part of these incidents is there is no way to prevent it or if you want to put these situations in W's lingo, there is no context. They just happened out of the blue and suddenly all that you have done in life may not matter any more.

This kinda makes Noona thinks what is your priority in life. Are you happy doing what you are doing currently? Are you happy with choices that you make daily? Do you even put yourself first in life?

No matter what your choice is, it is indeed important to enjoy the journey and live life with no regrets.

Don't forget to meditate on Psalms 91 too, the Psalms of Protection. These days, Noona totally can't go on life without Jesus, really. What she can do without His help and protection? Nothing.

Random thoughts on hypocrisy

Anyeong! Noona wants to be a bit random in this post. She just heard a word "hypocrisy" from some facebook video and she suddenly goes into thinking pose (she does think sometimes). Actually, there is a really a shady line between fake and hypocrisy (okay to be honest they all sound very similar) and to avoid the whole concept especially when you are working in an office filled with of course, the political human being. Oh gawd.

To tell you the truth, Noona had to spend 30 minutes celebrating someone's birthday which Noona does not really care actually and thanks to that, she has to work extra hour because she could not finish her work in time. Being fake (or hypocrite) is sometimes a no-choice option in life because if Noona opted to be real to herself and chose not to celebrate, she would have been at least murmured upon or worse, outcasted. That's gonna make life so burdensome if it ain't already is. Arghh. Ok, that's all.

To end this post, let's think of life when it used to be so simple. When we don't really have to fake to a lot of people.

No worrying on a blissful Saturday

Good morning people!

Nothing beats the comfort of Saturday morning relaxing experience at your own room/ house (if you have one). The world outside is so noisy with people keep on bombarding you with comments, opinions and even suggestions. Sometimes Noona thinks the devil does not have to do so much work to make someone worry, really. Other human do that job better.

Despite the noises, Noona believes that worrying will not help to solve the situation any better. Instead, it robs the joy of today.

Like what Walt Disney said before "if you've done the very best you can, worrying won't make it any better". It will not help you healing yourself/ other person, it will not help you gain more money nor that it help you in your relationship with other people. So yeah, since it's weekend after all, why worry?

Success?

There are times in her life where Noona feels like she's going nowhere. She knows that success does not happen within a blink of eyes but then again, what is success after all? The word "success" sounds a pretty subjective word here. One man's perception of a "successful living" may not be the same as the other. For instant, one may deem have gotten married and have own family before 30 as a "successful life" while the other deem making the first billion before 30 is what considered a "successful life".

Tricky. Noona supposes success is heavily linked to each individual's #lifegoal after all. While it may seem vague to some, one thing is sure, successful life does not come without a price. After all we are living in the world where people must work to live thanks to our dear Adam and Eve who could not resist eating that forbidden fruit. So yeah, if you want to be successful in whatever you are aiming to be, be prepared to work hard for it. Sigh, she knows. Hahaha

Uhh, since life's not gonna get easier, Noona decided to just go to bed after posting this inspiration and yet realistic quote of Vidal Sassoon about success. At least, tomorrow is already Friday.
