Korean Coat Style by Tiffany and Seohyun

Before we know it, tomorrow is the first day of December. The weather is getting colder now and it is probably no longer the time to wear coat but that does not mean this is not the time to buy coats. Why is that the case? Mixxo (which is a Korean fashion brand endorsed by TaeTiSeo) is currently having a sale for its coats. Hooray! Let's check them out, shall we?

The first coat which is currently on sale comes in the earth-tone color like brown, teal and navy. Now, the coat (which is worn by Seohyun here) costs KRW 62,910 (equivalent to USD 54). The coat produces an A-line silhouette which Noona thinks can make the wearer look slimmer (bonus point!). 

If earthy colour is too boring for you, how about going on the burgundy route? The red coat costs slightly higher at KRW 71,910 (equivalent to USD 62). Turns out the burgundy color can match blonde hair pretty well. The cutting for the coat is actually leaning more toward the boyfriend coat style. Prefer this style but not the burgundy color? Well, no worries, the coat comes in other colours like grey, beige and black too.

This time around, let's check out the black coat which is worn by Tiffany in the advertisement for Mixxo. The coat only comes in two colours, black and khaki. Its price is similar to the first coat which is worn by Seohyun. It costs KRW 62,910 (equivalent to USD 54).

Ah the melancholic feeling of Christmas...Noona really cannot believe it is already the last month of the year. Sometimes it is really crazy how time flies. 

Two Two Chicken, Myeong-dong

Singapore has Orchard Road, Tokyo has Shibuya, and Seoul has Myeong-dong. The hip shopping place is very popular amongst the Seoulites and international tourists. Noona has to say Myeong-dong is one of her favourite place in Seoul and this is where she can find her egg bread. #glutton

But, seriously, you must go to Myeong-dong to find all your skin care needs! 

The good thing about shopping in Myeong-dong is, when hunger strikes, you can just pop by to the nearest restaurant from where you are standing. It happened that we saw Two Two Chicken near us so our feet immediately lead us that way. Noona was too hungry to snap a picture of how Two Two Chicken look like, but thanks goodness there is Google Image. LOL.

Two Two Chicken sells Korean fried chicken set meal. Noona calls it a set meal because each dish comprises of two servings and one serving has six pieces of chicken. We ordered half original + half sweet and sour so in total there are 12 pieces of chicken. Yum! 

This is the sweet and sour chicken. What Noona loves the most about Korean fried chicken is the sauce. The sweet and sour sauce taste so nice and we finished this plate in a jiffy. 

On the other hand, the original fried chicken tastes so so at best in Noona's book. Well, they are crunchy but taste wise, they taste kinda bland. 

Thankfully, the chicken is not as huge as we imagine so we didn't end up like balloon after we were done with our meal. But then, we realised that the night was still young so we continued our journey to walk around Myeong-dong area at night. We visited the Myeong-dong Cathedral, which is located near to the street elevator leading to the cable car station to Namsan. 

The cathedral looks pretty at night. ^^

Steal Krystal's Cool Turtleneck Look

No winter lasts forever so you better enjoy it while it lasts. Noona loves wearing turtleneck and winter is the only season which gives us reason to wear one. But, turtleneck can be so tricky to wear. Most of the time, it makes us look unflattering on us. How to actually look cool in turtleneck? Let's steal Krystal's cool turtleneck look from photoshoot with Nylon magazine. Jump!

The member of f(x) wore a white turtleneck with a black denim skirt and an animal print slips on, producing an enviable look. Noona has never known this combination before but wow, apparently turtleneck can be anything but boring when combined with the right fashion items. 

Now, since we have known what we want to wear, let's do some shopping!

Chicwish has a retro turtleneck sweater in white at a special price of USD59.42. This sweet deal will warm you hug on the thanksgiving weekend. 

If you want slightly beige color, you can go for the turtleneck crop beige sweater by Victoria Secret. It is currently having a sale and the price has went down to USD31.20. 

When Noona is looking for anything denim, she will go to the website of her favorite brand, Topshop, first. As what she expects, Topshop has high-waisted denim skirt by MOTO (its denim sub-brand). It is currently priced at USD52 at its online store. 

Topshop offers more than one type of black denim skirt. Noona found another one which is suitable for taller ladies. The Tall MOTO black button front skirt costs USD55 at Topshop's online store. 

Krystal is the current muse of Keds and of course the leopard print slips on are from them. The slips on are made from wool and it costs USD44.95 at Keds' online store. 

How do you celebrate Thanksgiving? Dining together with family? Cozy celebration by yourself? Well it does not matter as long as we can be grateful about something in our life. There is always, always, always something to be grateful. 

Steal Taeyeon's Look for Baby G's Advert

The latest advertorial picture from SNSD has been making the news recently and well, SNSD kinda makes Baby G looks cool again after so long. Noona still remembered when she was back in school, not everyone could afford a Baby G. It is basically the watch for the rich kids. Nowadays, at least, the watch seems to be more affordable. Or the standard of living has improved so much so that nowadays the brand does not seem to be only catered for the riches. Hahaha. 

One thing for sure, Baby G means style and if you want to rock it, you must be able to wear it. So why don't we steal Taeyeon's look for Baby G's advert? Jump!

Baseball tee seems to be very popular this year. Noona has seen it everywhere, in the store, on the street, it has even become a dinner-and-dance's dress-code for Noona's team near the end of last year. This means a good thing because it is easy to find the alternative of the long baseball tee that Taeyeon is wearing for the advertorial picture. The number and stripe printed white baseball T-shirt from Rotita only costs USD 14.39 at the moment. So quickly grab one! =)

If you prefer the t-shirt to be in other color, Rotita sells the t-shirt in black too. And it is good enough to be worn as it is because the t-shirt is pretty long just like what Taeyeon is wearing. 

White wedges is also a forever favorite item this season. Steve Madden is selling a pair of its Surfside white wedges at USD39.99. They look pretty comfy too. 

The most important item in Taeyeon's picture is, of course, the Baby-G watch. Taeyeon is wearing the Baby-G watch from the new series. Casio categorises its watches by serial number so if you are interested in checking out the price, the serial number of the watch that Taeyeon is wearing is BGA-180-2B2.  The new series watch is shock resistant and100m water resistant. It also has thermometer and world time function.

Noona could not find the price yet from the catalogue downloaded from Casio's website. Seems like we have to wait a little while before the price-tag is released. 

Anya Hindmarch Bags by Jessica Jung

Noona has never heard about bag designer named Anya Hindmarch until Jessica become the model for the brand. Anya Hindmarch is a British bag designer and she has founded her business back in 1987 in London. After that, the brand has grown into a global brand that has over 40 stores, including flagships in New York, London and Tokyo. The bags are also stocked in many of the world's best retail stores, from Barney's in New York to BoonTheShop in Korea. 

The design for the bags is quite special and different from the other bags. You can portray your own creativity on the bags by accessorizing the bag with stickers of your choice. The stickers are also designed by Anya herself. The idea is to let the customers "having their name on something, rather than Anya's".

A plain small Bathurst satchel from Anya Hindmarch costs USD1,595 at her online store. If you'd like to emboss the bag with stickers, you need to wait for the embossing for a few days before delivery.

There are so many stickers to choose from and most of them are so fun to emboss onto the bag. For instance, there is this Mickey's Victory Leather Sticker which costs USD75 on the online store. 

Or if you want to make statements with your bag, you can opt for the words leather sticker. How about some PHWOAR!!! It sure gonna adds more fun on your bag. The PHWOAR!!! leather sticker costs USD70.

If you don't feel like decorating your own bag and just want to buy the pre-decorated one. You can select those pre-embossed bags at Anya Hindmarch's online store. The pre-embossed bags costs more expensive though because of the quantity of stickers embossed on them. The All-Over Stickers Small Bathurst Satchel costs USD2,350.

Personally, Noona thinks that the fun comes when you are choosing your own stickers to make the bag looks more personalised. And also, your bag will be one of its own because no one else will have the same design as you.

My Neighbour Totoro Themed Restaurant in E-dae

Whenever Noona hears the word "E-dae", the first thing that will pop up in her mind is definitely shopping. There are so many shops in E-dae selling all kind of goods from clothes, shoes, make up, stationeries and accessories. Noona herself bought five pairs of shoes when she last visited Edae area. Another thing that will appear in my mind will be the beautiful Ewha University. Little did Noona know that there is a My Neighbour Totoro themed restaurant in E-dae. When Noona's friend brought Noona her, she was quite skeptical because there is no Studio Ghibli's characters, let alone Totoro, spotted on the restaurant's sign.

However, there is a saying 'Don't Judge A Book by Its Cover'. The saying applies to this humble restaurant named 젊은 식당: 보통 사람 (which literally translates to "The Young Restaurant: The Average Person"). We can see the poster of My Neighbour Totoro all around the restaurant. 

젊은 식당: 보통 사람 offers set meal which comes with side dishes. The ddeokbokki (re: Korean rice cake) is very nice. 

One of the dishes to try in this restaurant is 겨란말이밥. While it looks like a simple egg roll from the outside, the dish is actually rice rolls wrapped in egg. It taste very good when dipped in the soya sauce. 

Noona ordered the chicken katsu curry set. Eating chicken katsu curry rice served with Korean banchan...Noona supposed this is what they call a fusion restaurant. Nevertheless, the food served is here is yummy and moderately priced too. Noona paid a total of 6,000 Korean Won (approx. USD 5) for the set meal. Awesome, right?

While the themed restaurant does not seem to be as extravagant as the Hello Kitty Cafe in Hongdae, it is quite interesting enough to see so many Totoro related pictures on the wall. If you are a fan of Studio Ghibli works (especially My Neighbour Totoro), you should definitely give this restaurant a visit.

1. Take subway to Ewha Woman's University Station

2. Go out from Exit 2 or Exit 3 of the station which leading to main street in Edae

3. Take the right turn when you see Peggy Pie Cafe

4. Climb up the steep hill until you see the restaurant on the left side of the street

Steal Taeyeon's Sweet Look: Gingham Dress

When Taeyeon held a guerilla fan meeting for her fans, Heechul, her best friend from Super Junior showed up and asked her what she likes about her body. Taeyeon says she does not have a nice body but she has nice shoulders which make clothes look good on her even though she's short. The power of nice shoulders...hmm...so is that the real secret behind this superb picture of Taeyeon in gingham dress? 

If you have nice shoulders and well, the rest of the figures like Taeyeon does, how about stealing Taeyeon's sweet look in her gingham dress? Having been officially coming back in trend this year, Gingham has been adopted by many fashion designers in their vision. If our budget does not allow us to wear these high class fashion brands, no worry. Noona has managed to find some affordable gingham dress which is friendly to our wallet. The first Gingham dress is sold by Yesstyle.com. This dress costs USD35 and it comes with many colors option.

The next Gingham dress comes from a UK fashion brand called Style London. The skater dress in Gingham print comes with belt and it is currently on sale at USD32 over at ASOS website.

The next dress will look fantastic if you have a nice set of shoulder blades because it comes with halter neck. The Gingham Salty & Pepper Dress costs USD79.99 over at Modcloth's website.

If your budget permits, the last alternative to Taeyeon's gingham dress comes with a unique cutting. It is a Japanese Woven Gingham Knot Dress. The design is so cute and different. But, the dress does not come cheap at the price of USD550.  That's nearly half of my room rental currently. O_O. 

It seems that the Girls Generation is busy preparing for their concert in Seoul tomorrow. Anyone watching it? Noona has never watched their concert before but it looks exciting. Maybe Noona should try to watch it at least once in her life. 

Steal Yoona's All Black Style

Whenever Noona opens her Instagram, she can see that Girls Generation members are busy preparing themselves for their 4th solo concert, Phantasia. Phantasia is due to start this weekend at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Stadium. Since their latest album, Lion Heart, was a total hit, Noona is quite sure a lot of fans have bought tickets for this upcoming concert. But, since Noona is located so far away here in Singapore, she can only gaze at picture and probably look for some fans videos on Youtube. Oh well.

Back to the picture, there is this all black style that Noona is currently raving about. The all black style is pretty favorite amongst the Korean celebrity and Yoona, from all people, of course can pull off this style perfectly. The sunglasses, the black sweater, the black clutch and the black shorts works superbly on her.  Let's steal Yoona's all black style! Jump!

Noona could not find the identical twin sister of the sweater worn by Yoona. Instead, she found the half identical twin sister. This version of black sweater has horizontal ruffle and it is available in short sleeve. The ruffle design half sleeve knit pullover sweater from Maykool costs USD19.99. 

If you are against the horizontal ruffle (yes, Noona knows it can make you look fat especially if you are not as slim as Yoona), there is another ruffle black sweater sold by Antonioli. This black sweater comes with a vertical ruffle however, the black ruffled sweater costs way higher than the above at USD198.

For the short, how about the high waisted leather short from ASOS? It costs USD50.16 at ASOS' website.

Noona also found the alternative to the leather black clutch from ASOS. This unlined leather fold over clutch bag with studs costs USD53.75. ASOS put the remarks that the clutch is made from real leather on its website.

Steal Hani's Look: Neon Pink and Black Color Block

EXID is currently preparing for a comeback and it seems that the theme of the comeback song is all pink. The girls are going to showcase its digital single titled 'Hot Pink' in KBS Music Bank show this coming November, 20th. With all those sexy teaser, Noona is quite excited about the single. Meanwhile, let's take a peek at what Hani is wearing for the teaser. Omo! That green hair alone is awesome although Noona will not be able to carry it without getting scorned by her boss. But other than the green hair, the rest of the outfit seems to be safe enough to follow (at least when they are worn outside office). Black bean hat and a neon pink and black color block dress. Let's steal Hani's look! Jump!

The color block dress is not so easy to find especially if you want to stick to the exact neon pink and black combination. One alternative that Noona is able to find is the color block dress from Kate Spade and it costs USD498.  

The reason of why it is so expensive is because it is...well, Kate Spade. And the dress is quite special because at the back, there is a bow. Make sure you have shed all your back fats before wearing this color block dress from Kate Spade. #Noonaissoscrewed

If you prefer something cuter and cheaper, there is a another dress that Noona found from Etsy. The musical notes color block dress comes cheaper at the price of USD175. The website calls it prom dress so I suppose you can wear it to a wedding or birthday party (if the dress code permits).

The alternative to the black beanie, on the other hand, is easy to find. And some even has cool words printed on it. The "Bad Hair Day" black beanie from Local Heroes costs USD25.50 at Selfridges&Co's website.

Daily Parade at Lotte World, Seoul

If you are visiting Lotte World but don't feel like playing anymore rides because of the long queues, you can watch the daily parade at Lotte World. There are two timings for the daily parade at Lotte World. One starts at 2.30PM and another one starts at 7PM. We did not want to spend too much time at Lotte World because we had other plan for the evening part of that day so we decided to catch the 2.30PM. Opposite us, there are a group of school children which visited Lotte World for school trip. How cute. 

10 minutes before the daily parades start, the parade marshall will come to ensure that the crowd is seated properly so that everyone can watch the parade without being blocked by other people. Other than that, the friendly parade marshall also teach the visitors (especially children) to sing and and dance together when the parade starts.

At 2.30 PM sharp, the parade starts with Lotty and Lorry leading a car with sparkling castle on it. 

Later on, the parade turns into adventurous theme from Sinbad where the evil sorcerer captured the princess and put her inside a bottle of a genie. 

The princess did not suffer for too long though because soon after, Sinbad appears to fight and beat the evil sorcerer to save the princess. The boat ride which tells the full story of Sinbad's heroic adventure is quite fun to ride. Go take the ride if you have the time. The queue for the ride is not as bad as the thrilling rides which located at Magic Island, the outdoor park of Lotte World. 

Lastly, a ice carriage from the land of Frozen (okay, maybe not, because Frozen is copyrighted by Disney) comes with a little girl on the throne. We were actually wondering how does the theme park select which girl to participate in the parade because it seems that the girl is one of the theme park's visitors. Do they have to go through certain selection or something? Hmm, not sure. On second thought, I don't even have a girl. XD

The parade lasts for around 30 to 40 minutes. It is quite fun to watch and when there are seasonal festivities, the parade's theme will follow accordingly. You should catch its Christmas parade if you are visiting Lotte World in December.
