3D2N Bandung Trip: Arrived at Hotel Mercure Bandung Setiabudi
With the rising prices and all, a lot of people prefer to spend lesser money on their travelling. And that includes Noona. Noona loves travelling but she doesn't think she can afford spending a minimum of S$3k everytime she travels out of Singapore. So this time Noona and her la familia decided to go somewhere in Indonesia, a hip city named Bandung.
Our travel starts with the dongsaeng driver being hungry. We totally could not let this situation worsen as dongsaeng driver knows the city pretty well so we followed his stomach intuition to the nearest noodle restaurant in Bandung, Mie Rica Kejaksaan (re: Rica Noodle Kejaksaan).

The noodle is really spicy so if you don't really love eating spicy food, Noona suggests you ask the minced pork rica sauce to be served separately. It really makes Noona sweat but she loves spicy food so yeah, this pretty much taste good. You can also order other non-spicy type of noodle like Beef Rib Noodle or Minced Meat Noodle (without rica).
Once dongsaeng driver has regained energy, we immediately made our way to the hotel (which we booked on the spot), Hotel Mercure Bandung Setiabudi. The hotel price is really reasonable and it is quite new. Convinced by a lot of good reviews in Agoda and Tripadvisor alike, Noona booked two rooms in Mercure and well, it does not disappoint.
The bedroom designed with a pop of purple color (sofa and curtain). The beds are so comfortable, Noona immediately fell in love with them.
There is no bath tub inside but it's okay, Noona can live with a shower. As long as the bathroom is clean and bright, Noona is a happy guest.
The view from the balcony is so lovely. Guests can choose to enjoy a lazy afternoon by the pool or at pool-side cafe.
The pool is pretty popular with the younger guests. Noona did not bring swimsuits nor that she planned to swim in Bandung so yeah, let's give the pool a miss. Anyway, it's so crowded with kids. But if you are coming with the kids, you may really enjoy this facility.
One night at Hotel Mercure Bandung Setiabudi costs on average 1,300,000 Rupiah (e.g. less than USD 100).
