Watching Wang Wookie

Anyeong! Noona thought she's gonna be bored this Sunday since she hurt her ankle and all but turns out Sunday passing by quickly as usual. When there's nothing to do at home, there's always Korean drama to watch. Since W has ended, Noona has now moved on to another drama, Scarlet Heart. Noona's friends back in Indonesia keep on raving about the handsome battle between Prince Wang So (the 4th Prince) and Prince Wang Wook (the 8th Prince). Since the 4th Prince did not really have so much screen time (until at least episode 6 onwards), Noona's heart is currently captured by the oh-so-charming-and-caring Wookie~~~

Other than Wookie and the latest ankle incident, there's nothing going on in Noona's life. Pretty much. Still living a solitary life. And oh my gawd, if she wanted to meet her monthly budgeted saving, she only has literally like 9 bucks to eat tomorrow. #lifesocruel.

If you are on diet and you have 6 bucks to spend, you can try Strawberry Muesli from Salad Stop though. Sally had some doubts about it initially but it turns out pretty good. For a 6 bucks, Noona will be so pissed if it's not that good. LOL.

Revisiting the Beautiful Palaces in Korea

Anyeong! Watching Scarlet Heart Ryeo really makes your heart flutters like butterflies, especially when all the princes dote on the main character. Apart from the eye-pleasing characters, the background drop of the drama is simply gorgeous. The beautiful Goryeo scenery reminds Noona of the four beautiful remaining palaces in modern Seoul. If you visit Seoul anytime soon, you should make time to visit these beautiful four palaces.

The first is the Gyeongbokgung Palace (nearest to Gyeongbokgung Station), the biggest amongst all 4. Gyonghoeru Pavilion is the house inside the palace which the King used to throw royal banquet to entertain foreign envoys.

Revisiting the Beautiful Palaces in Seoul

If you prefer some lively activity, you can make your way to Deoksugung Palace (nearest to City Hall Station), there is a royal guard-changing ceremony held everyday (except Monday) at 11AM, 2PM and 3.30PM. The ceremony lasts around 30 - 40 minutes and you can even take picture with the performers. Cool!

Next is the wall of Changgyeonggung Palace (nearest to Anguk Station). Noona can imagine some playful scene between prince and princess while they are walking or even climbing when nobody's around in the palace's premise.

Last but not least is the vast and tranquil lake in Changdeokgung Palace (nearest to Anguk Station). Changdeokgung Palace is the most beautiful palace amongst all 4 and it is the only palace which have a Secret Garden/ Huwon (restricted entry, only with tour).

If you would like to visit all four palaces, you should get an integrated ticket. For 10,000 Korean Won, you can get a ticket to visit all the above four palaces plus Jongmyo Shrine. It will save you money compared to buying individual ticket at each palace. The pass is valid for up to one month.

What's IU doing now?

Hahaha this is a pretty random post but Noona can't help but wondering where is IU and what is she doing now. Sounds like stalker, she knows. =P

So, as usual, she employs her friends to find out about IU and it turned out IU is currently busy shooting for a historical drama titled Moon Lovers. The drama has the same storyline as its Chinese counterpart, Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jing Xin). IU looks so pretty in her costume, oh my gawd. Noona totally fell in love. #forbiddenlove

Since the story of Moon Lovers will be set in historical period, you will be able to see IU in a various color of hanbok. Aww. The pink hanbok looks so pretty on her.

Another still cut shows IU in another different set of Hanbok. Even though the story is supposedly sad and full of political evil (as usual, Joseon type of storyline), Noona can't wait to see IU in so many beautiful costumes.
