Fur Hooded Leather Coat, a Must Have in the Cold Weather

This Vogue pictorial by Sooyoung is not new. In fact, it was shot back in September 2015. But, the weather 5 months later is still super cold in certain parts of the world and hence, we can't really start wearing spring fashion yet. But hang in there (if you hate winter), cold days will surely end and you will start seeing flowers again. And your spring clothes. =P

The nearest coat which Noona can find in the market which kinda resemble Sooyoung's coat for Vogue magazine is the fur hooded long jacket from Holyreal. It does not come cheap though at the price of USD 924.25. The price of the outerwear can go right out to the space, really.

With that kind of thick outer wear, Noona think you can afford to wear a sleeveless turtleneck sweater inside. ASOS is currently selling one at the discounted price of USD 34.21. A real deal because the price has ben cut from its original price of USD 82.11.

ASOS Minimum Sleeveless Ribbed Turtle Neck Jumper

The key to this look is not to wear all black but since the coat and the turtleneck are already black, we can only improvise in the color of the leather skirt. How about going for some burgundy for a change? The whip-stitch detail faux leather mini skirt burgundy from Missguided costs USD 36.

If you prefer something more reddish, Missguided also has a faux leather asymmetric mini skirt which costs slightly cheaper at USD 28.

Fashion aside, have you started to plan your travel itinerary in 2016? January passed by so fast Noona barely has time to do anything else apart from working. Damn!

Steal Park Bo Young's Snuggly Winter Look

Anyeong! How have everyone been lately? News few days ago said that the temperature in some countries in Asia is dropping like never before. Hong Kong hits 1 degrees and Taipei started to snow. Even some tropical countries like Thailand and Philippines feel colder weather too. Meanwhile, somewhere in Singapore, it's 33 degrees like usual. Ugh. Noona is not really a fan of hot weather but she totally cannot function in winter too. The only thing she likes about weather is the chance to wear thick snuggly comfy clothes. Just like the coat that Park Bo Young wore for Ceci pictorial.

Steal Park Bo Young's Snuggly Winter Look

A long coat is best worn in winter because well, it keeps you warm. Especially if the coat is made of faux fur...aww, Noona can imagine the snuggly feeling that she will have when she is wearing one. Hehehe. The beige Story of Lola Longline Teddy Bear Faux Fur coat from ASOS costs USD 108. It is currently on sale from its original price of USD 162.

Story Of Lola Longline Teddy Bear Faux Fur Coat

House of Fraser, a fashion brand from UK, also has something similar to the coat that Park Bo Young wears. The Precis petite mid wool coat costs USD 113.20 now after being discounted from its original price at USD 356.

House of Fraser the Precis petite mid wool coat

Another perk about a long coat is you can easily pair it with a long skirt or long dress beneath that coat. Noona can't really see whether Bo Young is wearing a long skirt or dress beneath that snuggly beige coat but there are a lot of long navy skirts out there which may be suitable for this style. The first maxi dress is sold by Topshop at the price of USD 80.

Maxi Dress in Navy from Topshop
The second maxi dress is sold by John Lewis, a fellow UK fashion brand, at the price of USD 61.

The last long skirt is kinda different because it is a denim skirt. Walking in one may be a bit challenging but in the name of style, somehow, we can always endure it. If you are up to this challenge, you can get this denim skirt at SheIn at the price of USD 18.54.

How happy do you feel when you have to go out on a winter day? #justwondering

Steal Nana's Ocean Winter Look: Grey layering

Nana has a photograph session for Grazia magazine for the pictorial of December issue. And as usual, Nana nailed it very well. It's winter but that does not mean you cannot go to the ocean side to show some style. Oh gosh, Noona thinks the weather must be freezing cold when the picture was taken. Brr...

Steal Nana's Ocean Winter Look: Grey layering

If you are going to the sea side in the winter time, you definitely need to up your layering game. And how about layering some greys?

First, you will need the cable knit pullover sweater in grey. Maykool.com offers one at the price of USD24.99 but Noona is quite sure that you can easily find pullover sweater in grey anywhere during winter time.

Maykool Grey Cable Knitted Pullover Sweater

The main star of this look is the outer jacket and in order to make the layering works, you need to choose the similar color tone to the knitted pullover sweater. So let's go for another grey jacket. Beanpole is currently selling an amazing grey outer jacket on a reduced price from KRW 979,000 to KRW 685,300 (USD 565). Yes, the price for Beanpole items is never cheap.

Beanpole Grey Outer Jacket

Noona does not know how Nana managed not to have her legs frozen but pairing skirt and layered top works. So ladies, if you want to be fashionable in winter days, just drink soju before you go out and you'll be fine wearing skirt outside. Modcloth offers the black skirt (which it calls imperative narrative skirt) at the price of USD59.99.

Modcloth Black Imperative Narrative Skirt

Alternatively, you can also choose the black skirt from Chicwish which is currently on sale and hence, it is slightly cheaper than Modcloth's skirt at the price of USD 42.42.

Once you get the clothes right, don't forget to cover your foot with a pair of amazing black suede ankle boots. The black sueded fringed ankle boots from River Island seems to be able to handle the job well at the cost of USD90

Steal Goo Hara's Look: Utilitarian Jacket

Noona loves the university student's style and the style adopted by Goo Hara was totally what she was aiming for when she took her undergraduate degree. Too bad, she never had Goo Hara's body and hence, she kinda look like the bigger version of this image. Oh well. But, that's exactly where this utilitarian jacket comes in handy, it hides your size. Hahaha.

Steal Goo Hara's Look: Utilitarian Jacket

So, if you want to invest some money into a utilitarian jacket, Noona managed to find two reasonably-priced utilitarian jackets offered online. The first one is sold by www.withchic.com. This olive hooded coat with removable waistcoat costs USD 72.99 after being discounted from initial price of USD 107.99.

Withchic Olive Hooded Coat with Removable Waistcoast

If you want a furry hoody, you may also like the zipper embellished fleece inside military army green coat sold by Romwe. The military army green coat costs cheaper at USD 41.67 although the jacket sold by Chicwish looks thicker and firmer against winter.

Goo Hara wore simple striped sweatshirt underneath the utilitarian jacket. This is easy to copy as there are tons of striped sweatshirt in the market. The sweatshirt sold by Nordstrom costs USD58.

Nordstrom Striped Sweatshirt

The blue jeans worn by Goo Hara is also easy to replicate. When you don't know what to wear, jeans is your best friend indeed. One of Topshop's in-house brand, Moto, sells a pretty blue joni jeans at the cost of USD 51.25.

With this kind of style, you will surely gain people's attention (in a good way) in the school library. Just like our pretty Goo Hara.

Taeyeon's Dresses are Now on Sale at Mixxo

Two is better than one? Wrong! Three is better than one and there are three dresses endorsed by Taeyeon for Mixxo which are currently on sale at Mixxo's online store. Noona is looking at the dresses while listening to her favorite TTS's song, Twinkle. The song is so catchy and it is so easy to get hooked to it. You can listen to it here

Okay, let's go back to Taeyeon's dresses. The dresses are giving different vibe one another but to make it faster, let's just take a look at Taeyeon's three different style with the dresses.

1. Flower-dress Taeyeon

Noona loves this dresss although it looks like a long T-shirt because of the cutting. Is is great to be worn with a blazer too. The flower dress costs KRW 19,000 (after discounted from KRW 49,900). That is practically USD 16.00. Great deal indeed!

Taeyeon's Dresses are Now on Sale at Mixxo

2. Preppy Taeyeon

Preppy is always a style that Noona feels like wearing. Although it's hard to do a mix and match with the hat and coat especially since Noona is living in tropical country *bawl*. The preppy dress has white and black color mixed up so it's great to pair it with another white and black items. Taeyeon pairs the dress with a white blazer-coat and black hat. If you are living in four-season country, this style will works best in autumn. The preppy dress costs KRW 29,000 (USD 24.00).

3. Hot and Elegant Taeyeon

Who says Taeyeon can only look cute? She has proven that she can look mature, hot and elegant too in the body-wrapped dress by Mixxo. Noona admits she herself will not fit into this kind of dress very elegantly. If you are blessed with a hot figure like Taeyeon, you may want to buy this dress as it is currently sold at KRW 19,000 too (USD 16).

Which style do you like the most?

Steal Krystal's Look: Give Me Some Stripes

Noona does not usually wear stripes but when she looks at how Krystal wear stripes in her latest pictorial with Marie Claire, she feels kinda inspired. Hahaha. The picture does not look like the usual Krystal's look but she looks wonderful in it.

Steal Krystal's Look: Give Me Some Stripes

We may not be able to find the exact item that Krystal is wearing but does not mean we cannot steal her vibe in stripes. Let's look for some alternatives. Withchic offers a White Lapel Vertical Striped Self-Tie Blouse at the cost of USD 22.99

White Lapel Vertical Striped Self-Tie Blouse from Withchic

Another vertical striped shirt that Noona managed to find comes from yesstyle.com. Simpair's vertical striped cotton shirt at yesstyle.com costs USD 29.90. Noona starts to love the fact that stripes tops are quite affordable.

Simpair's vertical striped cotton shirt at yesstyle.com

You can pair the above shirt from yesstyle.com with the striped short that Noona found at Revolve, an online fashion shop. The striped short is offered by a brand called J.O.A. at the cost of USD 70. Hmm, okay, how come a striped short costs more than the striped shirt?

J.O.A. Striped Short at Revolve

The best way to pair a striped fashion is with an awesome pair of black heels. Wedges are always more comfortable than high heels, so Noona picks this awesome strap black wedges from Nine West at the price of USD 114.

Nine West Black Wedges
If you don't mind other brand than Nine West, Noona managed to find a pair (although not as nice as the pair from Nine West) which only costs USD 39.99 after sale at a website called White House Black Market.

It's time to dig the wardrobe for some stripes now. ^^

Korean Dessert Cafe Sulbing, Myeong-dong

Sulbing is a Korean dessert cafe chain which can be spotted everywhere in Seoul. We wanted to try the famous Korean ice-shaved dessert (re: bingsu) so we made our way to one of Sulbing's many locations in Myeong-dong. Sulbing is located right on top of Nature Republic. You just need to look at the word "Korean Dessert Cafe" if you cannot read the word Sulbing in Korean.

Korean Dessert Cafe Sulbing, Myeong-dong

The creator of Sulbing majored in food during her study in Japan. She came back to Korea and opened Sulbing with an aim to make Korean dessert more high end without losing the love of the people, of course. And voila, here come the famous dish sold at Sulbing, the Injeolmi Sulbing. It is basically the famous shaved-ice Korean dessert which is served in a big bowl.

Eating dessert at Sulbing Myeong-dong

There are so many flavors to choose for the Injeolmi Sulbing, Noona is having a hard time choosing. She and her friend finally picked the "Premium Mango Coco Snowflakes Sherbet" topping. It is described as "coconut milk and cheese cake served atop apple mango". The end product really looks so beautiful...and big.

Sharing is caring, people! I don't think you can finish this by yourself. Hahaha.

Porridge Brekkie at Bonjuk (본죽), Myeong-dong

I never thought that I am gonna be so mesmerised by eating juk (re: rice porridge) in Korea. If you are a porridge fan, you may want to try Bonjuk (본죽), which is a leading rice porridge franchise restaurant in Korea. Apparently Bonjuk has also reached international audience at USA, Japan and Malaysia. I went to the branch at Myeong-dong which is located pretty near to my hotel in one of my visit to Seoul. The branch is located at the building near Uniqlo at Myeong-dong.

Bonjuk has a pretty cozy setting and it is perfectly fine to eat here by yourself (do note that some restaurants in Korea does not allow single diner). Bonjuk opens for everyday except for every second and fourth Sundays of each month. They categorise the porridge menu by type i.e. premium juk, seafood juk, special nutritious juk, juk for hangover (wow!), and traditional juk.

My menu that morning is the oyster and mushroom juk. The portion is big but they don't allow sharing so I suppose this will last you until late afternoon (if you can finish, that is).

How come Korean manage to maintain perfect figure if their meal portion is always big?

Steal Yoona's Cute Winter Look

Anyeong everyone. How is everyone coping with the new year so far? Any resolution to follow this coming year? Noona does not really have resolution because resolution creates so much pressure in life. If being happy can be made a goal, it should be Noona's goal for every year. January is a cold month for a lot of countries out there and hence, we are still in the topic of winter fashion trend. If you are in a room equipped with a heater, you can mix up winter and summer fashion. And that is basically what Yoona is doing for one of her photoshoot. A white sweatshirt and hot denim pants. Simple combination and yet, it works.

Steal Yoona's Cute Winter Look

White sweatshirt is pretty common nowadays and it is easy to find one in the market. Topshop sells its Petite Brushed Sweat at the price of USD 40. Sweatshirts are pretty much comfortable clothing and Noona thinks that what makes them so popular.

Topshop Petite Brushed Sweat in White

Mango also has its printed cotton sweatshirt in natural white and it is cheaper than the one from Topshop. Mango offers the white sweatshirt at a discount price from GBP 29.99 to GBP 19.99 (equivalent to USD 30).

Denim shorts are Noona's favorite items too and it is really nice to be able to wear them in all season (although Noona does not think you can wear it outdoor during winter). Urban Outfitters is currently having sale too at its website. The 70s denim shorts is now sold at the price of GBP 21 (equivalent to USD 30.66) from the initial GBP 42.

Urban Outfitters the 70s denim shorts

If you prefer more dramatic denim shorts, ASOS has one and oh boy, the name of the denim shorts is kinda long. It is called "Your Eyes Lie Low Rise Denim Shorts with Patchwork Distressing". What a mouthful. The good news is, ASOS is also having a sale currently. The pair of denim shorts now costs USD 13.69. A great offer considering it was initially priced at USD 47.90.

Keep calm and enjoy the winter weather everyone. Stay warm!

Steal IU's Winter Look: Green Coat

Before we know it, it is already the third day of the year 2016. Have everyone had a great winter break? Oh right, first of all, let Noona wishes everyone a happy new year. Wishing everyone to have a happy year ahead. Noona herself has went home for Christmas and spent a wonderful time with her family for the last week (without internet and hence, the lack of posting in that particular week).

Okay, enough about the new year. It's time for another K-Fashion inspiration post. And since we are still in the midst of winter (unless you are residing in a tropical countries not affected by 4 seasons), let's take a look at another winter fashion inspiration. For the first inspiration of the year, Noona chose to look at IU's style of green coat. Who knows green can be so...stylish?

There are so many tones of greens but Noona does not think it's right to wear light green coat in the middle of winter so it may be wiser to choose something khaki or teal instead. The first option falls on Olive Hooded Coat by Choies. The coat is currently on sale from USD 93.99 to USD 62.99. Sweet!

Olive Hooded Coat by Choies

If you prefer something more teal, the Toasty Transit Coat by Madden Girl is currently being sold at Modcloth at the price of USD 89.99.  Noona seldom sees coat in this color and she really falls in love with this coat from Madden Girl. ^^

If you want to be a bit wizard-ish (okay, I also watched quite a number of Harry Potter reruns on cable over the holiday), how about going for a green cloak instead? The dark green cloak wool coat is kinda expensive at USD 149 at Etsy but it is really unique indeed. It will make you feel like you have enrolled at Hogwarts School. XD
